Study conducted in Colorado State University, USA, determined the pharmacokinetics of cannabidiol (CBD) in three formulations (oral microencapsulated oil beads, oral CBD-infused oil, or CBD-infused transdermal cream), at a dose of 10 mg/kg or 20 mg/kg. Cannabidiol concentrations in the blood were measured over the first 12 hours and repeated at 2, 4, and 6 weeks.
The most higher CBD concentrations were observed with the oral CBD-infused oil formulation and was found as the most favorable pharmacokinetic profile.
