CBD in Pets

Companion animals, like humans, have an endocannabinoid system (ECS), which can be imagined just as a network in the body. It reacts to endogenous cannabinoids throughout the whole body, on the skin, in the bones and in the internal organs. Among other things, the ECS is responsible for the homeostasis (the “inner balance”) of the skin and of body processes, such as the central nervous system (CNS), the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and the immune system. This system is activated by the body’s own cannabinoids, but can also be supported by, for example, CBD.
